Sticking to their normal routines of sleeping, eating and bathing will also help with handling a toddler 🙂
Yeah I'm definitely agreeing to the well thought out gifts compared to the quantity of gifts. We have a few great items we've purchased this year that we think our 20 month old will just flip over. But we actually don't have a lot on his list.
For Halloween we did the same thing. Just let him dress up, go to grandmas, let him have one piece of candy and it was bedtime after that. Moderation definitely is key to a happy toddler.
