Only a little over 4 weeks until we are headed down to
Gulf Shores and Gulf Shores Plantation!
I am super excited and just can’t wait to get on the beach.
Here is a picture of the beach in front of Gulf Shores Plantation from last week.
Isn’t it gorgeous?
There is still no swimming advisory for Gulf Shores, but check out The Beach Facts for the latest information!
And don’t forget that right now Gulf Shores Plantation has a fantastic deal going on until September 6th!
Book a trip and get the 4th and the 7th night FREE!
There are so many things to do in Gulf Shores besides the beach!
Last week I talked about “The Little Zoo That Could”.
This week I’m going to highlight Fort Morgan!
Photo Taken From Ft. Morgan’s Website
Heath and I LOVE history, so hopefully Hayden will grow up loving it too!
Last summer we visited Fort Morgan, which is about 20 minutes away from Gulf Shores.
Fort Morgan was completed in 1834 and was active during 4 wars. It was the guardian of Mobile Bay and played a key role during the Civil War.
In addition to touring the whole Fort there is also a museum where you can read about more history of the area and Fort Morgan.
Throughout the year they also have reenactments and candle light tours!
Visiting with school age children? Check out their great lesson plan!
Fort Morgan only costs $5 an adult, $3 for Ages 6-18 and Under 6 is FREE!
It’s such a fun and educational place to go!
Have you ever been? Any other Forts you have visited? Let me know!
Been to Gulf Shores? Wanting to go?Check out their Calendar of Events! There is always something going on!
Let me know!!

I know this is cranky of me, but how can there be no strollers allowed? What? I'm so confused…it just seems so impossible.
