A Walk in the Park

I have really been wanting to do a “Cause” walk. I would have done the Race For The Cure in St. Louis that drew 71,000 people, but we were in Branson. 71,000 people. Isn’t that amazing? 

I recently discovered A Walk in the Park at Six Flags. A Walk in the Park at Six Flags is partnered with Cure Kids Cancer, a Children’s Miracle Network initiative.

I think this is a great cause because my 15 year old cousin Elizabeth is a cancer survivor. The walk in St. Louis will benefit St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, with 100% of the donations going to those hospitals.

At Six Flags all across the country, you can sign up to be a part of the walk.

Find out when your local A Walk in the Park is. 

It’s $15 for individual walkers and $10 for group walkers. 

They suggest that groups be 10 or more. The registration fee includes participation in the walk, a light snack, a t-shirt and a gift bag. It does not include admission to the park, but you can buy discounted tickets ($28.99) HERE if you want to stay in the park after the walk.

The walk is only 1-1.5 miles long and strollers and wheelchairs are welcome.
