The holiday season is starting and with three kids, I’m always looking for ways to save money doing my holiday shopping. I’ve been making my lists and putting money aside so I’ll be ready when some great deals pop up throughout the next 2 months.
Here’s some ways that I save money shopping online during the holiday season:
Flash Sales
Over the next few weeks, you’re going to see a Flash Holiday Sale pop up for your favorite stores! I always make sure to subscribe to the newsletters of my favorite stores and follow them on social media. You never know when they might send out a notification that there will be a limited time sale. I just stocked up on some clothes from Old Navy today because they had a one day 50% off sale! I never would have known about their flash sale if I hadn’t subscribe to their texts and emails. It is definitely worth it to keep an eye out for those flash sales this holiday season.
Make a List
I totally believe that you can save money by making a list. Make a list of what you need to buy for who and don’t stray off that list! It can be easy to get tempted by some of the crazy deals out there but don’t! You’ll save money by stick to your list and looking for deals for only the items you have written down. Sometimes I write my list down on paper but most times I use my notepad app on my iPhone. You can also use an app like Santa’s Bag to create your list.
Coupons
It’s also a good idea to keep an eye out for coupons and deals from websites such as DontPayFull. A lot of times there will be coupons released that you can stack with all of those great sales that happen during the holiday shopping season. In addition to signing up for the newsletters and checking social media, I also make sure to check out my favorite deal bloggers websites several times a day so I don’t miss anything! I’m a huge fan of Hip2Save and have scored so many deals reading the site.
Ask Your Friends
There’s always a few hot items that my kids want and I definitely want to make sure I get the best deal. Last year, my twins wanted Hatchimals and they were pretty pricey not to mention hard to find. I put it out on Facebook that I was wanting to get them at a good price and I had friends keeping a look out for me. When they saw it pop up in their feed on sale or if they saw it on a shopping website, they would let me know. Don’t hesitate to tell others what you’re looking for – you might just score a great deal!
