Last Saturday, we headed to Walmart after Hayden’s nap to attend The Walmart Ice Cream Social Event. I can’t pass down samples of ice cream and I thought Hayden would be thrilled!
We didn’t have anything we really needed to get at Walmart besides diapers, but I headed back to the toy department anyway. Hayden does a lot better when he has a cheap toy to distract him while I get my shopping done.
I ended up getting him this Pirates of the Caribbean toy. It was Angelica aka Girl Pirate to Hayden. It was the last one he needed and he was so happy!
We continued on our shopping adventure and headed to the Market side!
Lots of treats for Memorial Day!
We headed back toward the ice cream where we found the Bright Ideas Ice Cream Station!
I was excited to check it out and see what they were offering!
Mmmmm, they were serving up Edy’s Ice Cream, Nesquik Chocolate Syrup and Reddi-Wip!
The line was LONG! So many people said they had heard about it on the radio or on Twitter and had to stop by!
Now it was our turn to get some ice cream!
I love the Edy’s Slow Churned Ice Cream! It’s so tasty!
For some reason Hayden did not want to try the ice cream! I was shocked!
So I decided to have his! 😉
We then headed to see the ice cream offerings. I was going to be bringing some home for our Memorial Day BBQ!
The only thing I thought was funny is all the different elements of making a delicious ice cream treat were all in different places!
The ice cream was all in the frozen section obviously, but the cones were on an endcap by cleaning supplies. The syrups were by the ice cream which was good, but the ice cream scoops were by the frozen veggies!
And I walked all around the store before I found the sprinkles and more toppings in the bread aisle!
But since we now had all that we needed, we headed home! I couldn’t wait to break out the ice cream for our Memorial Day BBQ!
I purchased Edy’s Slow Churned Vanilla Ice Cream, Nesquik Chocolate Syrup, Reddi-Wip and Strawberries!
YUM!
I put Hayden’s in his little baseball cap bowl that he uses!
Then it was time for me and Heath to treat ourselves!
I’m so glad we had this delicious dessert! It was so tasty and something I know I’ll be purchasing throughout the summer!
Did you attend The Walmart Ice Cream Social? What kind of ice cream did you have?
If you didn’t make it, make sure to go on July 2nd! You’ll be able to stock up before the 4th of July!

Oh that looks like it was so fun! I’m hoping to go to their Ice Cream Social in July! You know I have a weakness for all things ice cream 🙂
Fun. I’d have never made it through the line. I love the little baseball hat and your Memorial Day treats look quite yummy. Wish I had one for a late night snack about now!
looks like that was a fun time! LOVE the baseball hat bowl, I think my oldest son has one of those from a baseball game a few years ago…I’ll have to find it and use it this summer!
I love those ice cream baseball hat bowls. Reminds me of when I was a kid.
I love that baseball cap bowl; that is so cute! The strawberries and Nesquik together look so yummy!
