I hope everyone had a fun weekend! I was hoping to spend the whole weekend outside enjoying the weather but Mother Nature had a different idea!
Saturday was COLD, rainy and windy! It was about a high of 50 degrees!
We spent ALL DAY in the house, just relaxing, watching movies and baking (Psst, giveaway coming SOON!)
Now Sunday was a completely different story!
After sleeping in (Thanks Heath!) I found out that it was already sunny and 70 degrees! We decided to head to Grant’s Farm, which I have blogged about before!
It’s so much fun! It’s also only about 3 minutes away from our house which is just amazing!
It was opening weekend so it was busy, but still manageble!
We rode the tram through the Deer Park where we saw LOTS of animals, like the Oreo Cookie Cow, Zebras, Buffalo and cute baby Buffalo and deer galloping about!
After the tram ride we were let out at the Tier Garten!
We bought a Fun Pass which for $5 we got 2 bottles of milk to feed the goats, a sno-cone and a carousel ride!
Hayden ran straight to feed the goats!
A lot of the goats were FULL so it was hard to find some that were hungry!
After feeding the goats our 2 bottles we headed to Hayden’s favorite (I was surprised he didn’t want to do this first!) which is the carousel!
We walked around some more to check out the elephants, kangaroos, birds, monkeys and an Eagle!
It was such a gorgeous day and Hayden was getting hungry so we headed to The Bauernhof where you can relax on a patio and get snacks like Bratwurst and Pretzels! Oh yes, this is German themed!
Since Grant’s Farm is owned by Anheuser-Busch there are FREE samples of beer to try! Each adult over 21 is allowed 2 free beers!
Yum!
After that we had to check out the Clydesdale Stables of course! They are such a symbol of Anheuser-Busch!
These animals are so majestic! I can’t believe how big they are!
We had so much fun at Grant’s Farm!
And of course the history is amazing too!
Ulysses S. Grant originally owned the land that Grant’s Farm is on and you drive pass his cabin while on the tram. He built most of the cabin himself. Then the Busch family purchased the land and run what is now Grant’s Farm!
Here is a link to their website and hours!
