Since I’ve had my twin girls, I’ve been looking for ways to lose weight. I was lucky enough that I dropped all of the weight I gained in a few weeks, but I still have a lot more to lose. Now that summer is here, I’ve found that it’s a bit easier to lose weight. I love being outside and being getting active with my family and we love to grill for dinners.
I’ve tried losing weight on my own but for me using weight loss programs works much better. I like to have something that I can be held accountable for and it’s actually a plus if I’m paying for it too! It actually motivates me to follow along with the program. I know that weight loss has to be a lifestyle change and not about the latest fads or using pre-packaged foods. I’ve found that when I’m actually able to eat real food, I’m more likely to lose weight.
Since I’m usually busy and on-the-go with 3 kids, I spend time looking online for weight loss recipes that my whole family can enjoy too! I’ve got a whole board dedicated to Healthy Food on Pinterest and it’s become one of my go-to places for lunches and dinners.
Mornings are the most hectic time for me and sometimes I’ll realize that it’s past noon and I still haven’t eaten anything and maybe gotten one glass of water in. This is a shock to me because when I was pregnant I drank over 120 ounces of water a day and had several meals a day. I’ve recently began making Kale Smoothies in the morning and they are delicious! They keep me full and even have been jump starting my weight loss again!
Kale Fruit Smoothie
– 1 Cup of Kale
– 1 Banana
– 1/2 Cup Strawberries
– 1 Cup Greek Yogurt
– 1/2 Cup Vanilla Almond Milk
– Ice
Mix together in blender. Pour into cup and enjoy!
Smoothies have become my new favorite breakfast food since they are so fast and easy to make, not to mention filling and energizing – something that a mom of 3 definitely needs!

I have been on smoothie kick in the mornings too but I use spinach!
That sounds delicious!
I am going to have to try this it sounds delicious.
I don’t have any recipes, but I love this one! I adore smoothies and I have yet to make a fruit smoothie with greens, but I’ve tasted some and they are delish! This is a nice recipe, as I luv banana!
