What Tech I Bring When Traveling

When it comes to packing for a trip, all of my tech goes into it’s special bag. I usually always bring too much but to me, I’d rather have something I might not use than wish I had brought something. I recently traveled to Walt Disney World with the whole family and I’ve got two upcoming trips to Los Angeles solo. Here’s what tech items I’ll be bringing with me!

iPhone 6

The iPhone 6 is my main phone so it goes with me anywhere. I am loving the long{er} battery life on it and it takes quality photos. I’ve used the Apple iOS for so long, I can’t imagine traveling without it!

Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Yup, I like to travel with two phones. I love the quality of pictures that the Galaxy Note 3 takes and I like to have a backup phone in case I’m tweeting and sharing so much that my iPhone 6 dies. Even better and my favorite feature of the Galaxy Note 3 is that I’m able to turn it into a Wifi Hotspot so I can easily connect my laptop or tablet to it. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is available now and even more amazing!

Microsoft Surface Pro 3

In the past, I’ve always brought my Lenovo laptop which I absolutely love. But the last few trips, I’ve brought my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and it’s just perfect for traveling! I like that I’m able to use it as a tablet which is great for watching movies on the plane or during a layover. But when I need to really get some work done, I just snap in the keyboard and get to work. It has all of the power of your laptop in a lightweight tablet! I love that I can access everything from my PC and laptop on it.

Motorola Power Pack Slim 5100

When I’m on the go, I can’t let my phone die! I’ve got too any pictures to take and tweets to send out! The Motorola Power Pack Slim 5100 charges both Android and iOS devices. It can even charge 2 devices at the same time. It’s a must for traveling – I’ll never forget being in LAX for hours and not being able to find an outlet anywhere to plug in my dying phone!

Nikon D5000 Camera

I love my DSLR camera but I don’t get it out often only because I think my phones take such good pictures. It can be cumbersome to have a large camera banging against your chest when you’re on the go – which I discovered at the Disney Parks last week. Still, you never know when you will wish you had it, so I always bring it along.

Not a tech item, but I also suggest bringing some Savvy travelers feminine wipes which you can just slip into your carry on bag!
