Back in September, I had the chance to head out to Los Angeles for a Disney Dreamworks Event. While there, I had the amazing opportunity to visit Jim Henson Studios for a tour and also interview the people who are behind the The Muppets, which will be released into theaters on November 23rd.
In the next 6 days, I’ll be bring you exclusive interviews and more about The Muppets!
We had the chance to interview co-writers Nicholas Stoller and Jason Segel {who also stars in The Muppets!}, Director James Bobin, Producers David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman and of course, Kermit and Miss Piggy!
One of the big questions we had for all of them was after The Muppets movie, were there any plans for a second movie and would we be seeing The Muppets on the small screen again?
While it was a unanimous yes, the cast and crew were quite superstitious in saying any more.
We asked producers Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman if they would like to see the show back and if there were any plans.
It would be awesome.
Well, I mean we’ve talked about wouldn’t it be great of…but you know. I think it depends on–it’s all up to the movie. I’m so superstitious that I can’t think about anything beyond this particular movie. But yeah,it would be fun if we get the show up again.
Writer and Star Jason Segel says:
Well I’m superstitious and so we’re trying not to think of it until this comes out. But we’re starting to think of ideas. I think my main goal is just to try to get the Muppets back to where they belong and you know the forefront of comedy. And to have, to have our generation get to experience what they had when they were young. And share that with like their kids. I just think it would be great.
Kermit wasn’t quite so superstitious, but had to say:
I think it would be fun. I think we should, uh, I think we should look into that. I think it depends on what you all write about the movie. If you help us fill the theatre seats there’s a hope for that, you know. I think that would be fun. You know, maybe, maybe a few more films. I think if we do it, we should do it pretty much like the other one, don’t you? Red theatre. It’s good to take a poll here, you know.
So what do you think? We haven’t seen the movie yet, but do you think you’d like to see MORE of The Muppets, whether it be on the small screen or the big screen?
Disney/DreamWorks is providing me with an all expenses paid trip to Los Angeles for an advance screening of Real Steel and select footage from The Muppets. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

You know what I love about the Muppets movies? They make them entertaining for adults too. I’ll have to borrow a little kid just so I can go see it!
