I’m so excited for the new Winnie the Pooh movie to come out! I grew up watching Winnie the Pooh and can’t wait to share it with Hayden!
Walt Disney Animation Studios returns to the Hundred Acre Wood with “Winnie the Pooh,” the first big-screen Pooh adventure from Disney animation in more than 35 years. With the timeless charm, wit and whimsy of the original featurettes, this all-new movie reunites audiences with the philosophical “bear of very little brain” and friends Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Owl, Kanga, Roo—and last, but certainly not least, Eeyore, who has lost his tail.
“Ever have one of those days where you just can’t win, Eeyore?” asks Pooh. Owl sends the whole gang on a wild quest to save Christopher Robin from an imaginary culprit. It turns out to be a very busy day for a bear who simply set out to find some honey.
Inspired by three stories from A.A. Milne’s books in Disney’s classic, hand-drawn art style, “Winnie the Pooh” hits theaters in select international markets in Spring 2011; the U.S. release date is July 15, 2011.
I’m also a big fan of Zooey Deschanel (who I think is just so adorable) and she is singing her take on the original Winnie the Pooh song plus two new original songs.
I have a short video to share with you that gives you a first look into the new Winnie the Pooh song “So Long”.
What do you think? Are you excited to see the new movie?
Disclosure: I received no compensation for posting this. Just sharing my love for Disney!
I love her! More excited for movie now!
WtP is my favorite. I seriously can’t wait. We will be there the day it opens.
Hands down-one of Disney’s best movies. For those who haven’t been lucky enough-get it! I could not get over how genuinely funny this film is. Craig Ferguson might be my favorite as Owl, but they’re all pretty irresisitible. My only complaint is that I wish it had been a lot longer. Quality wise, this should have launched a new spin=off cartoon series.
