Yeah don’t do like the men folk and just go blind. LOL Read the instructions. I hope to purchase a better camera once I am employed. I want one that takes B&W. I love to take pictures of old houses and homesteads and they look better in B&W.
I switched from film to all digital a couple of years ago. (I have a stack of DVDs to prove it)
With digital, you can shoot as much as you want without having to consider what processing costs.
I recommend Scott Kelby’s books on digital photography, I think he has three now.. Short and sweet. The books, also, have ‘recipes’ for getting those shots that have a ‘wow’ factor. Learned a lot.
Also, the dps.com, website has wonderful information and people to answer your questions about digital photography.
If you are interested in selling images, Flickr is a must. Every image II have sold was off Flickr, plus Flickr is a great way to share photos with others!
Oh, And welcome to the world of Nikon snobs. Once you buy a camera body, you are able to access the ‘glass’ (lenses) from that manufacturer. Personally, I am a Canon snob. Eventually, someone will have the Canon vs. Nikon ‘discussion’ with you. It is usually at a public event. They can be relentless!
Anyway, beautiful camera and have a great time with it!
Awesome choice. Takes very nice pictures.
I’m excited to learn more about it!
