WORK AND FAMILY
In today’s economic climate, both parents in a two parent household are working to make the ends meet.
In a single family household, that parent is working to achieve that same goal. That means that every spare minute is like a brilliantly cut diamond and in order to keep that diamond shinny, getting the most out of the time you have together is a must.
Setting up a schedule for the kids to do their homework immediately after school is a good start. When mom and dad come home from a long day at work, the family can spent time together. While dinner is being prepared, the kids can help prepare the meal or set the table and conversation can be exchanged throughout that preparation time.
Dinnertime is the best time of the day for the family to all come together, sit at the table, enjoy the meal and chat about the day. It is a great time to hear how the kids spent their day at school and a wonderful opportunity for the kids to discover what their parents do when they are at work.
Family time is important and what better time than dinnertime and the preparation of that meal to come together as a family?
