I’m so lucky that I am able to work from home and stay with my kids. It’s been such a blessing and I love the freedom of being able to work in my pajamas! Sometimes, I don’t even get out of bed to work especially with the new Serta iComfort Directions Mattress! I love that I get work done surrounded by my family!
The Serta iComfort Directions really has it all – it’s a comfortable, high tech workplace in one! Below are some of the great features you can enjoy while working in bed!
Features to Help Make Working in Bed Comfortable
– USB Ports: That’s right, there are two USB ports on either side of the bed so you can stay connected. I’m always charging something on my bed now!
– Bluetooth Connectivity: Connect and work right from bed!
– Six Massage Levels: Enjoy a massage while getting some work done!
– Wireless Speaker System: Yes, there are speakers in the base! Enjoy some calming music while you work from home.
Below is an infographic about a new survey that shows that sometimes working from home means working from bed!
What I found so interesting in this survey that more women than men watch TV and make phone calls from bed than men. Also, more parents are watching TV, surfing the web and checking email than non-parents. I know I definitely am! There’s many times that my husband and I just fall into bed and try to get some stuff done. I’m guilty of falling asleep as I catch up on my latest TV shows or checking my email!
I’ll have a more in-depth post coming about the Serta iComfort Direction Mattress and Adjustable Base – I can’t wait to show you a close-up look of this high tech bed!
Do you watch TV and surf the web from bed?
Janet W. says
I pretty much only watch TV from my bed, usually right before I go to bed.
Denise Taylor-Dennis says
My son watches TV in our bed before going to sleep in his bed. I don’t get to watch much TV.
MIZ says

Oh my gosh, this would be fantastic. I have scoliosis in both my neck and back. If i try to work from bed – or really, anywhere other than my desk chair – I get the worst neck ache which of course, leads to a headache! 🙁
Liz @ A Nut in a Nutshell says
Sometimes at bedtime, I’ll do a little web surfing and it takes so much adjusting of pillows to make it comfortable. Even then, I usually have to keep moving and readjusting.
This sounds like it could be a great solution!

I’ve only had a laptop for about a year (I know – WAY behind) but I don’t usually spend a bunch of time in bed on my PC mainly because I can never get comfortable in my bed. I’ll pile three pillows on the wall behind the bed to try and prop myself up but its just not enough. This bed would be incredible for that though!
Jennifer Soltys says
LOL that’s funny! I am definitely guilty of working from bed. I would do so more often if I had a lifting bed like that, too!!
Sarah Bailey says
That bed looks so comfortable I have to admit I do like the idea of working from home in bed 😉 x

I’m in the market for a new mattress and this looks amazing. You had me at USB port, although I think the music is a cool feature too!

USB ports in the bed? BRILLIANT. If only it could do the laundry I might never leave my bedroom.
Carrie with Children says
Oh my goodness – I am SO incredibly jealous that you have USB ports built into this bed. How fantastic is that?! I usually end up sitting in bed every night after the girls go to bed and working.
Amy @ Oh So Savvy Mom says
Now, that is a beautiful bed!
No we don’t watch TV in bed. My husband gets insomnia really easily so we have a no electronic devices in bed rule. 🙂 It keeps insomnia at bay.
Emily @FamilyNLifeLV says
I very rarely work in bed and the only TV that usually gets watched in the bedroom is Disney Jr… However, that bed looks AMAZING!!
Sherrie C. says
Oh my gosh I really want that mattress! If I had that to lay on I would never get out of bed with my laptop. It looks so comfy and it’s hard to believe it comes with USB ports on both sides of the bed. Maybe one day I’ll get one if my budget allows it 🙂
Danielle says
Working from bed is something I’m quite familiar with. But working from bed in an iComfort sounds much more enjoyable.
Rachel Young says
How Cool!!! I see my bedroom as my sanctuary so this would be great!
Beeb says
USB ports and bluetooth in bed?! Oh my gosh, this would be great for charging my iPhone while I answer email in bed…LOL! And because it adjusts, I could more easily sit on the bed to use my laptop and watch Netflix. I want one of these!!!!
