I just discovered the blog Robyn’s Online World and she is a blogger in my city!
I’m always excited to discover a blogger that is in St. Louis or close by.
She has a meme on Friday’s for your “Family’s Favorite Meal” and this past Friday was spaghetti with red sauce.
I made spaghtti this afternoon for dinner (Heath closes so I made it early so he can take it with him!) and thought I’d share my recipe and link up with Robyn’s meme!
Can you believe I never made spaghetti as a dinner until about 2 years ago? I never thought about it. Now I make it almost once a week! It’s so easy and so good!
We usually always buy lean ground beef but this week I made it with Jennie-O’s Italian Seasoned Ground Turkey. I use Ground Turkey for my meat loaf so decided to try it with spaghetti!
I use to buy spaghetti noodles but one grocery trip I accidentally bought Linguine noodles and the rest is history. I only buy Barilla Whole Grain Linguine now for our “spaghetti”. Too funny but it’s delicious!
For the spaghetti sauce I used to always use some type of Four Cheese Sauce because we LOVE cheese. Now I always buy Hunt’s No Added Sugar Spaghetti Sauce and I sure can’t taste any difference! (Okay, well maybe a little!)
I browned the turkey and then added the sauce and half an onion and let that simmer while the noodles boiled.
After noodles are finished and drained, combine turkey/sauce/onions with spaghetti.
Serve with some parm cheese and you’re done! 😉
Heath’s spaghetti in his to-go container! 😉
Do you like making spaghetti? Any tips? Recipes?
Share!

We love spaghetti in our house! I'm guessing you're not of Italian of Sicilian heritage, because I can't remember a time in my life where it wasn't a weekly dinner choice. lol
It's so good!!

We use ground turkey when making spaghetti, but I had no idea that you could get an Italian seasoning kind! Will have to add that to this week's grocery list! Thanks for the tip!

I've never tried the seasoned ground turkey. I'll have to look for it!
